INT. THE WRITER’S DESK - NIGHT
A single, stark glow carves the WRITER (ageless, full of grit) out of the surrounding darkness. Shoulders hunched over on the sofa. Laptop on her lap. Fingers poised above the keys. In the browser window, 46 tabs bleed across the screen like a constellation of scabbing wounds.
At the Writer's feet, a DOG (tuxedo-clad fur with wide, hyper-focused eyes) lets out a heavy, vibrating snort. He sits like a tiny yoda, completely unblinking.
The cursor hovers. A beat, then—
Click. The digital noise is severed. One by one, the wounds close. Only this tab remains.
The camera drifts to a sweating glass. Dark espresso sits heavy at the bottom until a slow, indulgent pour of coconut milk swirls through— the salted-vanilla iced coffee claims its inevitable refill.
Another beat. The screen awakens, casting grey shadows against the wall.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
The average attention span on a single digital screen is about 47 seconds. You’ve already given me 15. Let’s make the next 32 worth your time.
The Writer begins to rap away at the keyboard— a sharp, rhythmic percussion that pierces the silence of the room.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
I write stories that are bold, witty, and deeply researched. While everyone else is bleeding their hearts out fighting for a click... I’m writing the story that makes you lock in.
