About the Writer

Jacqueline F. Donabedian is a writer with a flair for subversive storytelling that merges meticulous research with emotionally complex characters. While originally from the sunny San Fernando Valley, Jacqueline’s not your typical valley girl. Growing up in an Armenian-Italian household, Jacqueline and her family broke lavash and focaccia every night together, regardless of the heated discussions that transpired between big personalities seconds earlier. Jacqueline first began writing stories when she was holed up in a full-body cast as a kid, observing the world and its characters from her temporarily stationary existence. Her work today includes screenplays (TV, film, PSAs, product placement integrations, voiceover scripts), digital ads, TV award submission essays, articles, short stories, and blog posts. Most recently, Jacqueline has written and produced two episodes of CBS hit Fire Country with plotlines featuring incarcerated firefighters in Northern California. She also has immense writers’ room and production experience. As a dedicated and passionate Researcher, Jacqueline has brought untold medical cases, exciting incidents, and incarcerated stories to the screen and has supported the writers’ rooms of several TV shows including Lethal Weapon (Fox), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), and Fire Country (CBS). Collecting 10+ years of entertainment experience, Jacqueline began her career in film development at Paramount Pictures— the first building block in her sturdy, storytelling foundation. As versatile as they come, Jacqueline thrives on weaving levity into dramatic storylines, using comedic relief to soften the tension— a coping mechanism she learned from improv courses at Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade. Combining a background in research with sharp, witty dialogue, Jacqueline brings a unique, authentic voice to the page.

And when she’s not writing? Jacqueline gets lost on many ambitious hiking trails with her bionic hip and trusty French Bulldog-Boston Terrier companion, “Hunk.”
